Cat of the Year Rules
CCI presents Cat of the Year awards to both CCI members and associate members. Points are accumulated at each All Breeds show held in the ACT during the calendar year January to December.
Awards are made for Top 5 in each of the Longhair and Shorthair (Groups 2 and 3 judged together) Groups for kittens, entire and desexed cats. The Companion Group awards desexed cats and desexed kittens. All award groupings are made in two categories: CCI member and Associate member.
Points are awarded for a Top 5 placing at an ACT All Breeds show. Ten (10) points are awarded for placing 1st in Top 5, 7 points for 2nd, 4 points for 3rd, 2 points for 4th and 1 point for 5th.
For a cat to qualify for a Cat of the Year award the owner must be:
The final points are tallied after the final show each year. This is followed by a Cat of the Year award luncheon where all awards are presented.

- a financial associate member of CCI for the full calendar year if the owner is an interstate exhibitor.
